I'll start this by asking (you can reply in the comments) if you just found this, or if you were led to it by my instagram post. Anyway, this book was my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE for a long time!!! So this is told in kind of 1st person, a little bit of 2d person too. It's 'told' by the grandson of the main characters. That adds some reality in it. This is about a girl that washes up in a small island at the time of the second world war, and she can nether speak nor talk. She gets moved into a family of three and they try and find out her past; and the other kid, Alfie, needs to protect her from the bullying kids at school. I loved this book because it provokes conversations about the war, ect. ect. On that note, It also maybe hard to explain to younger kids. so kids under 8, get your parents to read it to you. get it from libraries or bookshops!!

have a nice day!!!
